Tiger Wins, But Is He Back?

Something occurred on Sunday afternoon that at one time in our existence was about as much a “sure thing” as death and taxes: Tiger Woods won at Bay Hill after being the 54-hole leader.

Woods has certainly had his fair share of success at various golf courses, but nothing like what he has become accustomed to at Bay Hill. Sunday marked his seventh victory at the course, setting a mark of dominance that many of us may have forgotten over the years. Tiger simply owns Bay Hill, albeit not in a literal sense. Tiger Leads By One Going Into Sunday at Bay Hill

Welp, now or never for Tiger Woods.

Sure, he won the Chevron Classic at the end of last season. Everyone knows it wasn’t an official PGA TOUR win, even though he got a boatload of World Golf Ranking points for the victory. Furthermore, he has had the opportunity to win a large tournament in Abu Dhabi, at the Honda Classic, and probably a few additional tournaments along the way.

But this Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, Tiger Woods has the opportunity to actually win an official PGA TOUR title for the first time since 2009. All I have to say is this:

FUCKING DO IT ALREADY, TIGER.

No Q-School? No Problem!

PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem just made a lot of people angry.

After months of speculation and waiting, Finchem finally pulled the proverbial plug on Q-School as a means for TOUR hopefuls to earn their player cards. Instead, a new system will be implemented in 2013 that includes steps to make the playing on the Nationwide Tour the primary avenue to earning PGA TOUR status.

Quite frankly, I don’t see why everyone is so upset. Read more of this post
